CHOICE FM SEX TALK CLUB LAUNCH
A RAVING SUCCESS!!!

IF YOU MISSED THE LAUNCH of the Members Only Choice FM Sex Talk Club on Wednesday 27 September at the Imperial Gardens, you missed an opportunity to enjoy first class entertainment and talk. Hosted by SEXY SANDI and CHRIS FARRELL (D&C Medias) the launch was the first in a series of events organised by CHOICE FM and D&C MEDIAS.

Members of the Club met for the first time not knowing what was in store for them apart from the entertainment by DIBI (Wayne Rollins) and SEXY SANDI (Tameka Empson). After performing their rendition of Sisquo's 'Thong Song', RAY CARLESS, Manager of the JUICEY SOCA BAND hosted a drinking competition. Two men raced to drink a quantity of the new drink 'Soca' a new alcoholic Jamaican Rum based fruit drink provided by Fab Drinks.

The second half of the launch saw SEX TALK with DELIA DOLOR live on stage with listeners with dilemmas sharing them with the audience. One couple spoke of their battle to sustain their relationship after the man had an affair with a long term 'platonic' friend. Their one night of passion produced a child. The audience took a vote and told the betrayed partner to let him go or accept it without nagging her partner as although she took him back after a separation, she kept 'throwing it in his face'. The audience also said they didn't believe he would remain faithful.

WAYNE ROLLINS joined in the audience participation session and advised the woman if you really love him and want to keep your relationship you must stop nagging him or you will lose him. The audience's applause showed they also agreed.

Another listener said she was 'fed up with black men's selfishness and inability to satisfy her sexually. The females in the audience tried to convince her that black men should be respected by their women and not 'dissed' or 'passed over'. The males in the audience were not so forgiving, 'go!' they chanted.

A raffle gave the audience the opportunity to win sexy prizes.

Happy with the night's proceedings, Delia said, "We are grateful to all our members who turned up and we thank Imperial Gardens for believing in what we are trying to do. It was the first time for all concerned, D&C Medias, the artists, the members and Imperial Gardens. They sponsored the evening by giving us the space, the opportunity and supportive, friendly staff. We look forward to making Imperial Gardens our Club House if they'll have us".

CHOICE FM presenter WAYNE ROLLINS said, "I didn't expect to stay after my act as Dibi, but the vibes were good. People wanted to talk and I felt the need to share my expert opinion. The turnout was good and I was impressed. For the first event, the launch was definitely a success".

Audience member Owen confirmed, "This (event) should have been done a long time ago. I enjoyed the whole night especially the talk show and mingling with like minded people. I will be coming again and again and spreading the word. As a people we are very reserved when it comes to talking about sexuality. The Club recognises this and made people feel that they were burning to speak".

A spokesperson for sponsors BLACKNET UK said "The concept was good and it was nice to see people get into the mood of the night. When people start to understand the concept the club will be very successful. Blacknet will certainly remain sponsors of the Club and we are very much looking forward to the next event".

The Club's next event will be held in November 2000.
