Womb Wellness (Gateway 0)

Queen Afua will share with us alternative healing methods of caring for the womb. The workshop will focus on physical techniques - diet, poultices, compresses, baths, detoxification, massages - and African spiritual approaches such as prayer, sacred altars and rituals that reveal to women the innate power they have to heal themselves.

Sacred Womb workshop will be beneficial for women who have (had): painful periods; PMS; fibroids; cyst; STD; candida; depression; abortions; hysterectomy; and those who have experienced sexual abuse, rape and childhood molestation.

The Nine Gateways to Healing the Feminine Body, Mind and Spirit
(Sunday 1 April 2001 - 9.30am-4.00pm)

Queen Afua will share with us a nine-fold path of physical, emotional and psychological healing and spiritual cultivation to show us how to transmute painful life situations into opportunity for growth:

Gateway 1 - Sacred Word Sacred Word teaches us how to use speech to elevate, not injure our spirit: "If you are constantly saying words like, 'I don't have any... I am tired... I can't make it... My needs aren't being met... I don;t have anybody' then you carry all that energy in your aura." You will learn how to elevate the language you use.
Gateway 2 - Sacred Food Sacred Food makes our kitchens healing temples: "What we consume dictates who we are and what we are. We become the food we eat. You will learn 'power foods' that brings order into your life, for e.g. celery enhances positive thinking.
Gateway 3 - Sacred Movement Sacred Movement restores vitality: Gain the ability to use movement to creatively release and heal self.
Gateway 4 - Sacred Beauty Sacred Beauty reflects our inner truth: Learn how to naturally pamper, beautify and nurture yourself from head to toe using herbs, clay, water and foods to increase your magnetism and energise your natural beauty.
Gateway 5 - Sacred Space Sacred Space teaches us home purification rituals: "Your home directly reflects your worldly state". As a result of leaving your home in disarray you are sure to meet confusion in the street. Learn how to transform your domestic atmosphere into paradise.
Gateway 6 - Sacred Healing Sacred Healing offers us our own "medicine bag": "Who says that you cannot be your own Doctor?" Explore several approaches to healing yourself and others.
Gateway 7 - Sacred Relationships Sacred Relationships liberate us from the on-going negative attitudes that ruin our lives: Learn how to stop hurting from your relationship and how to make them work! You will learn the importance of reviewing each of your significant relationships in your own way and allow each one to become your teacher.
Gateway 8 - Sacred Unions Sacred Union helps us establish a divine relationship: "There's a whole lot of women who are hooked on bad man with a good orgasm." Woman must strive to avoid men who are merely 'hit-and-run' lovers who violate her womb spirit and leave her high and dry. Holistic lovemaking and sexual regeneration techniques included.
Gateway 9 - Sacred Lotus Sacred Lotus is a formal ceremony of spiritual rebirth: As we approach the end of the Nine Gateways of Transformation, it is time to celebrate our birthing ourselves into a new, healthier, and more spiritually centered lifestyle.
