Sacred Words: The Ladies Room Interview

Angie Le Mar: Good evening Queen Afua, Welcome to the Ladies Room.

Queen Afua: Thank you for having me.

Angie Le Mar: You will be coming to London to promote your latest book Sacred Woman and the Sacred Woman events. Could you give us an idea of what the weekend will entail?

Queen Afua: On Friday night (March 30th), I will talk about the importance of realigning ourselves with our ancient African past of natural healing. On Saturday (Womb Wellness workshop), we will get into more specific work reflecting the first gate which is womb work. I will be focusing on women's concerns, such as, how to naturally prevent having a hysterectomy, helping women who are suffering from PMS, vaginal discharges or fibroid tumors and using nature to heal the body. I will be going over the 25 womb rejuvenation techniques, so that women don't have only the choice of surgery or medication. We can use nature to heal ourselves and I will go through the elements, for example: air, how to use breathe as oxygen; using hydrotherapy (water treatments); using herbs to heal the womb as well as meditation, womb prayers and womb foods. I will be having a special womb healing drink which is a delicious drink, for example, it has strawberries, raspberries and apple juice.

Angie Le Mar: For people who are not aware of your books, Sacred Woman and Heal Thyself; how will you introduce to them the concept of holistic health?

Queen Afua: I will tell them that we have the power to heal ourselves. I will take them through the various gates of knowledge. Whether we have high blood pressure or any other abnormalities, the Most High has given us a way healing ourselves using nature but we need the tools. I will share with people, the tools they need to heal themselves. For example, our homes are healing centres. Therefore our children don't have to have childhood diseases. We (as women) don't have to fight with our partners. There are teas, women can drink to calm themselves down and balance their emotions.

Angie Le Mar: So is the weekend for women?

Queen Afua: Yes...but actually through the women, we heal the family; so men are involved in the healing process through the women's resurrection.

Angie Le Mar: If for example our partners are not supportive of our growth and are not involved in process of healing self, how will that work?

Queen Afua: The men are a reflection of the women states. They are our mirror. It is important that the woman begins to really nurture and rejuvenate self and let go off alot of emotional baggage and fears and focus on self first. Heal yourself first! Take a month of this knowledge and then you will see a change and as time goes by you will look outside yourself and your mate will be more receptive. As you progress in your cleansing those things that are good for you will become more charged and you will become stronger. Those people and things that does not uplift you or nurture you, they will leave or be transformed. Then the union will be a more healthier union. If we sell ourselves into a toxic union then we will eventually grow a tumor, get high blood pressure and eat toxic food because we are overly stress out. Food is just a reflection of the emotional conditions that we are going through.

Angie Le Mar: In America is the Global Sacred Woman Village a regular weekend occurrence?

Queen Afua: Yes. I have been on the road of healing for 29 years. This is what I do full-time. Many of my clients are women my age (I am 47years old), who have been coming to me since they were thirty years old; that is usually the age women get sick and tired of being sick and tired and really want to change their lives and I show them the ways of healing themselves naturally and holistically.

Angie Le Mar: Is this your first time in England?

Queen Afua: Yes, this is my first time.

Angie Le Mar: What does womb wellness mean? I am not familar with the term, myself.

Queen Afua: I have seen thousands of women over the years who have come to see me for different health-related problems. What they all have in common, approximately 90% of them, is some type of womb affiliation, whether it was incest, or rape or they were in a relationship which was sexually abusive, whether they did not take good care of themselves or they went from one relationship to the next trying to find a blessing but instead received hurt and pain, so they ended up having some form of womb trauma. The womb is the centre of our rebirth. Therefore, if you are holding in malice and anger coupled with eating toxic foods, you will develop unhealthy bodies and we birth babies which are just as frustrated and sick.
I have been doing it long enough so I have had the opportunity of seeing my clients becoming healthy. Women who have made the changes and gone through the transition have found that their labours are shorter (no morning sickness) and that they can hold their babies in their bodies. I teach women who have toxic relationships how to cleanse their unions.
Sacred Women are really Medicine Women. We have got to know that we can heal ourselves and condition and we don't have to settle for less.

Angie Le Mar: Queen Afua, thank you for speaking with us.

Queen Afua: Thank you.
