St Maarten-based airline Winair has resumed flights between Antigua and Montserrat, effective 1st October 2008.  Carib Aviation, which previously operated the Antigua-Montserrat route, recently announced the suspension of all its flight services after 30th September 2008. Customers who have booked to fly with Carib Aviation to Montserrat after 30th September 2008 are advised to seek a refund from the source of their booking. This includes bookings made direct with Carib Aviation, bookings made through LIAT and travel agent bookings.

Caribbean Carnival spirit will reign in Dominica this autumn as dancehall superstar Sean Paul headlines the island’s biggest music festival ahead of celebrations to mark Dominica’s 30th anniversary of Independence. Dominica’s 12th Annual World Creole Music Festival will take place from 31st October – 2nd November 2008, followed immediately by the island’s 30th Independence Day celebrations on 3rd November 2008.

Antigua & Barbuda and Grenada have joined the growing list of Host Venues which have granted accredited media a tax waiver on hotel accommodation for next year's ICC Cricket World Cup. At their Cabinet meeting last week, the Government of Antigua & Barbuda agreed that accredited members of the media who travel to that country to cover CWC matches will be exempt from paying hotel taxes.
