I am the lead for patient and public involvement at the Royal Pharmaceutical Society of Great Britain. The Society is the professional and regulatory body for pharmacists in England, Scotland and Wales. It also regulates pharmacy technicians on a voluntary basis. The primary objectives of the Soceity are to lead, regulate, develop and represent the profession of pharmacy within the contect of the public benefit. In addition it promotes the profession's policies and views to a wide range of external stakeholders in a number o fdifferent forums.
I am in joining as a member of this forum is to extent an invitation to other members to become engaged with the Society to ensure that key deicison on the way teh profession works actually reflect what the BME community wants.
