| My name is Dulce.
I live in Birmingham. Before settling in this beautiful place in Midlands, that is soon to become Britain?s first majority minority city (where white people are a minority), I lived in Finland, the periphery of the world. Somehow, through all those forests and all that ice, a few Cuban genes managed to land in about twenty-five years ago, and made me, arguably the first of the Finnish-Cuban species. I wasn?t confused about my identity until I got confused about everyone else being confused about it. So now when I?m asked where I?m from, I answer something philosophical. But I study sociology.
