Guns, ammo found in abandoned car Hot

Two illegal firearms and a quantity of ammunition were reportedly found in a motor car abandoned by four men who attacked a policeman on Chisholm Avenue, Kingston 10, after they were accosted.

One of the men was arrested, but his identity is being withheld pending further investigations.

Reports garnered by the CCN are that about 5:50 p.m., a policeman was driving along the Chisholm Avenue main road when he observed the occupants of a Toyota Corolla motor car littering the roadway.

He signalled for the driver of the motor car to stop and four men reportedly alighted from the motor vehicle and attacked him. The officer managed to apprehend one of the men, but the others escaped.

A search of the motor vehicle yielded a Browning 9mm pistol, which was loaded with eleven 9mm cartridges and an Uzi Eagle pistol, loaded with ten 9mm cartridges.

Investigations are ongoing.
