Nine artists from Hip Hop, Reggae and Soul/R&B battle it out in front of a live, London club audience and panel of industry judges to find out who wins the ultimate One Mic prize
Hosted by Quincy the Comedian (Supreme FM) and Dominizle (Street life Radio), One Mic’s judging panel consists of Maria Kempinska (Founder Jongleurs chain of Comedy clubs), Solomon Penumuchi (A&R manager for Universal Records –
Loick Essien, Jessie J – and Gary Barlow’s Universal/Future Records imprint), Lush (Recording Artist, songs with Mavado and Lady Ga Ga) and Jamal Miah (CEO of Darkness Records & respected London promoter), all of whom provide honest,
genuinely felt feedback to competing artists.
One Mic provides an atmospheric combination of an exciting night out with the chilled environment generated through live music showcases. The stakes are raised even higher for artists this season, following some serious label interest for one of our performers from the Season 2. One Mic is the only made for TV music talent show
that aims to represent the dynamic and diverse genres representative of UK culture on One stage, whilst providing a professional and relaxed hub for lovers of music and the industry to network with individuals from the world of radio & TV.
