TEST Vandell Andrew comes to London to promote his music as part of his 'London Mini Tour' His first 1st gig in London as part Supa Fine music night at Charlie Wrights International plus Matshidiso performing tracks from her latest EP, Nursery Rhymes for Grown Folks. Vandell Andrew is a Saxophonist based in Dallas. Being born and raised in the "birthplace of jazz" New Orleans, Louisiana, gave Vandell a solid foundation in Jazz and music in general. After relocating to Dallas in 2005 by way of Hurricane Katrina, he began to write original music and perform regularly around the Dallas area. Since releasing his debut album "Years Later..." In late 2011, Vandell has shared stages and work with artists such as, Grammy winning Saxophonist Kirk Whalum, Saxophonist Tom Braxton, Saxophonist and producer Darren Rahn, Grammy Nominated Pianist and producer Nate Harasim and many others.
MATSHIDISO
Classically trained pianist Matshidiso (pronounced Mat-sea-dee-so, a South African name meaning blessing or consolation) is a composer, arranger and singer-songwriter. She also plays guitar and experiments with percussion. With musical influences from hip hop and 70's singer-songwriters to French chanson and folk, from world music to gospel, Matshidiso's unique fusion of styles adds up to a delightful, quirky and soulful sound.
YASMIN OGILVIE
Yasmin is the freshest and youngest saxophonist to grace the global dance floors. Coming from a classical upbringing and studying at the prestigious Trinity College of Music, she achieved a first class honours degree and Yasmin was taken on as a prodigy of the worlds classical legends.
2009 saw her first full solo performance at the Improvisation Music Festival. Her breathtaking talent was supported only by dancers and the performance astounded the audience and recived rave reviews.
With passion for Latin Jazz, dance music was on her mind and Yasmin set out to take a change in direction. Since then she has gained an amazing amount of recognition for her ability and has performed at some of the worlds grandest venues. One of the highlights was recording at the world renowned Maida Vale studio for BBC Radio 1.
