Afrogala is a golden opportunity for ICACS to give back to the local African and Caribbean communities it represents. Every year, we donate a portion of the proceeds from the show to a charity with a substantial and meaningful African and/or Caribbean focus. In the past two years, we have had the likes of Kujo, Fumbi and Faithchild aid us in this endeavor, just to name a few.
This year, we are proud to select African Revival UK Charity number 1108718, as our worthy beneficiary for its great work to promote education in Africa as the key to breaking the poverty cycle.
Afrogala is our signature event which has established itself as a major attraction in the Imperial events calendar following its tremendous growth over the years. Each year, the show is based on a theme that we feel encompasses different aspects to our heritage and our identity. The result of months of gruelling and dedicated hard work and rehearsals in always a spectacular and exciting showcase of our love and enthusiasm for the society and the culture.
From street dance to modelling, from African drums to Caribbean melodies, from thought-provoking verses to not-so-serious dramas, we guarantee a night of sheer entertainment, bursting with variety.
