Motherland is an unprecedented epic international documentary in production by the multi-award winning producers of 500 Years Later. Motherland is the first African production to traverse the diverse history and rich culture of the African continent to examine the challenges of Africa and the quest for Pan-African unity.

“The Best Documentary on Africa ever made” – Andile Mngxitama, Sowetan

The film features some of the greatest minds from Africa and the Diaspora; Barack Obama, Meles Zenawi (Prime minster of Ethiopia), Gamal Nkrumah, Jacob Zuma, Jeff Radebe, Harry Belafonte, Molefi Asante, Maulana Karenga, Ali Mazrui, and Barak Obama in Ghana. The film picked up its 1st award at the Pan-African Film festival in California and is set to create a new vision of Africa.

"Breathtaking in both scope and impact, Motherland is a must see for people of all nations!"
- Christine Blosdale, KPFK 90.7FM Los Angeles

The significance of this project to the canon of African history is beyond argument. As you know the voice of Africa is rarely heard and this all African production seeks to redress this historical imbalance by examining Africa in dignity reaffirming terms.
