,Having drawn drew very positive praise from no less than the Reverend Jesse Jackson, Yaw Asiyamais bringing a new production to The Grand Theatre in Wolverhampton
.
A young woman left with her village for the farm in West Africa . She never came back home. Over 300 years later, Her legacy lives on. her children walk amongst you. This is the story of survival, told through the universal voices of motherhood.

It has been preserved on through generations to now . Araba’s Song chronicles a tale of love on many levels. Spiritual, physical and emotional. This is the life story of those who made it. Scars and all. A people whom despite set backs, have carved a place in history.

The 1st was stolen, the 2nd was resilient. The 3rd was cunning, the 4th was clever and so ,the 5th was born free. The 6th was searching. We lost The 7th, but the 8th was a survivor. The 9th stood her ground so that you will triumph!

The journey of a treasure from mothers, through daughters to you.
A SONG OF FREEDOM!
