The North Jamaica Conference (NJC) will be working in collaboration with the Adventist Health Professionals' St Ann chapter to host a health symposium and clinic for residents of the parish on Sunday, April 15.

Pastor Omri Davis, health ministries director of the NJC, said the symposium and clinic - which will begin at 10 a.m. on the grounds of the Word of Hope Seventh-day Adventist Church located in Drax Hall, St Ann - is geared especially for adults.

"We will be conducting prostate checks, breast examination, blood-pressure checks, diabetic checks and, of course, health lectures," Davis said.

Two well-known doctors, Keith Wedderburn, urologist and chief executive officer and managing director of the Montego Hospital, and Courtney Watson, obstetrician and gynaecologist at MoBay Hope and Medical Centre, are scheduled to conduct the health checks and seminar.

"We expect not just to have our church members coming out, but also members from our community who are invited to benefit from this free, life-changing symposium."
