  • Back from Seoul. Highly recommended!!!! People were lovely, food was great (no Dog!!) and the shopping was brilliant. Now I am wholly into the Olympic spirit, especially after seeing black people competing well in the swimming events. Even good ol JA qualified for the women's semi final breast stroke. Gwaan!

    • BLACK CINEMA CLUB Presents HIDDEN COLORS Hidden Colors – “Black” History uncovered Hidden Colors (2011), PG 13, 1 hr. 56 min. Directed By: Tariq Nasheed Starring: Tariq Nasheed,Dr Frances Cress Welsing, Sharazad Ali, Sabir Bey, Booker T. Coleman Self-appointed “game changer”, Tariq Nasheed, gathers some of the most formidable scholars, historians & practitioners for this ground breaking 2011 documentary “Hidden Colors”. With cast members including Dr Frances Cress Welsing (The Isis Papers), Sharazad Ali (Black Woman’s Guide to understanding the Black Man) & Dr Umar Abdullah-Johnson (Conspiracy to Destroy Black Boys), “Hidden Colors” has beautifully assembled major pieces of black history to tell our story. From ancient Egypt, through to the early 16th Century existence of scholarly blacks in the UK, this film reveals astonishing evidence of major African contributions, inventions & philosophies. It’s compelling viewing, enlightening information, which uplifts the human spirit and clearly demonstrates some of the reasons why the contributions of African, Moor and aboriginal people have been left out of the pages of history. “Hidden Colors is the most eye opening documentary about the real and untold history of people of colour around the globe and will fill you with enough black pride to last two lifetimes!!!” BCC are proud to announce that Dr Umar Abdullah-Johnson will be flying in to attend this special London screening. He’ll also be joined by some esteemed guests for the post film Q&A, Black History Studies, Dr Lez Henry & Esther Stanford. Doors open @ 6pm, you mix n mingle and then movie starts at 7pm. Date: Sunday 27th May 2012 Venue: Tricycle Theatre, 269 Kilburn High Road, London NW6 7JR Purchase your tickets in advance by visiting Tricycle Theatre box office Press here http://www.tricycle.co.uk/current-programme-pages/cinema-program/cinema/hidden-colors/ Mobile: 07718 340 682 Email: [masked] Facebook: Like us here https://www.facebook.com/#!/BlackCinem ...
