Why Black Family Day?
Its a chance to repair broken relationships between our family and
extended family, other families, friends, colleagues and acquaintances respectively,
for the future of the younger generation.
Who?
Everyone within the community must ensure they make contact with members
of their family, especially those who they have not made contact with
for some time, whether near or far or for whatever reason.
Absent
parents and children should make every conceivable effort to contact their
children and families, respectively, with a view to re-establishing links
and strengthening their relationships.
One
Minute Silence (12 noon) to remember...
Those who suffer in the hands of Black on Black violence, Racism and to
remember those who are homeless.
Where
is it taking place?
Hear there and absolutely anywhere, no matter where you are on this day,
home or abroad, all it takes it a phone call, a knock on the door, an
email, a card, a party, an evening out, a gathering, a picnic or a thought...to
simply Remember, Reflect, Repair & Respect the most important thing
in society...your family. What will you be doing on Black Family Day?
Sunday 3 October 2004.
