BLACK FAMILY DAY WEBSITE

Here you will find a host of information, from comments and views of individuals to a list of events taking place around the UK (and further afield), in support of Black Family Day.

The aim of this site is to keep everyone abreast of developments as things unfold right up until 1 October 2000, encourage interaction by way of exchange of information, ideas and experiences and, thereafter, to provide an overview of what has transpired as a result of this day having been in place.

Although Black Family Day is exactly what it says, it is not entirely exclusionary of those who are not typically labelled as 'black'. It is acknowledged that families can, and do, consist of multi-cultured individuals and it is envisaged that those families, as well as other families of ethnic origin will respect and/or participate in this Day.

Black Family Day is a day of harmony, unity and collective focus on the future and prosperity of not only the UK Black Community but the Diaspora as a whole.

Let us all join and move forward as one for the progression of the entire Black Community; if not for ourselves, for the future - our children.
