Black History Month is upon us and it is a great way to look at what it has taken to get us as a community to get to where we are today.

It's a great way to understand the sacrafices needed in life, no matter your background  required to make a difference, not only to others, but also to your life.

Black Net is running a campaign to encourage visitors to post up and coming Black History Month events to help spread the knowledge amonsgt the wider community.

The Black community has come a long way in this world, alongside other communties and I see a lot of positives... It is important to understand the world is changing, it's time to adapt, but also a time to appreciate.

Send us Black History Month Events you know of and we will help spread the word.

After a lot of hard work behind the scene, blacknet has completely revamped it's look and infrastructure, we have introduced some new features and made it more user friendly.

We have sorted the front and back end of the website and are now concentrating on improving and tweaking it and with your help we can make this an even better platform for the Black Community.

Blacknet is still one of, if not the most popular website providing information, entertainment, life & Style and interaction for the Black Community. A network platform which people like yourself contribute to make it what it is.

We have to thank all the members and visitors who have contributed ideas, comments, feedback and material in the redevelopment of Blacknet and we hope we have delivered.

We are continuing with the development as progress is constant, and would love to hear your feedback.

We still busy working away, sorting out minor bugs which have been highlighted by some of our members helping us test the site, we have also taken on board some ideas which  will be implemented shortly, if you have come across any problems do inform is so we can resolve the issue.

We have updated and added some sections, new sections include:

• Family Matters: Articles on Black Family Life, general everyday living, from health issues to marriage to rasing a child.
• Competition page: Now we will be constantly running competitions for prizes and giveaways and as the saying goes you gotta be in it to win it!
• Blogs Section: This section is for you to share things with fellow blacknet members and the world, work life, travel, leisure, education, entertainment, it's your views, your opinions or you can just help other by posting helpful articles like how to's etc
• Upload and share Videos & Images: Now you can upload images easier and organize into albums.

Fixed Areas:

We have resolved issue with submitting articles and reviews and made it alot more easier and quicker to do.
