A senior cop who was recently hauled before the courts for breaching the Corruption Prevention Act had his bail extended in the Corporate Area Resident Magistrate's Court yesterday.
He is former head of the St Catherine North Police Division, Senior Superintendent Assan Thompson.
Thompson was ordered to return to court on April 20.
He has pleaded not guilty to the offence.
The senior cop's attorney yesterday requested another mention date and the matter was rescheduled.
It is alleged that Thompson failed to provide the Commission for the Prevention of Corruption with a quantity surveyor's report for a property on Karachi Avenue, St Andrew.
The senior cop was among 18 police officers who were summoned to appear before the court in February reportedly for failing to file their statutory returns or declare their assets to the authorities.
