A young woman who allegedly threw glass bottles and stones at a 10-year-old boy because he was defending his mother in a dispute had her bail extended in the Corporate Area Resident Magistrate's Court yesterday.
She is Christina Brown who has been charged with unlawful wounding.
Brown is to return to court on February 8, when the matter will be mentioned as the file is incomplete.
Allegations are that in October, the accused was in an argument with the complainant's mother when the 10-year-old got involved.
It is reported that the angry woman started throwing stones during the dispute and the child's leg was injured in the incident.
The court also heard that the accused woman, who is the complainant's cousin, has been threatening the complainant and his sister.
"Your Honour, I am tired of this woman troubling my children. She assaulted my daughter and she has wounded my son. Your Honour, she is constantly threatening my children saying she can always go to court because nothing will come out of the case. The children are afraid of her."
However, the accused has denied the allegations, and told the court that the complainant's mother is a liar.
"Your Honour, she is telling all lies and she plans to tell bare lies," the accused said in court.
