An Exhibition Through the Works of James Barnor Black Cultural Archives 24 April – 24 June 2007 Curated by Nana Oforiatta-Ayim, the exhibition ‘Mr Barnor’s Independence Diaries’ is part of Black Cultural Archives’ Ghana Jubilee Season. James Barnor is a Brentford-based photo-journalist whose work spans sixty years. Born in born in Accra in 1929, he has worked for various publications such as the Daily Graphic and Drum Magazine, Accra; for institutions such as the American Embassy, Accra; for companies such as Agfa-Gaevert and for leaders and politicians such as the Okyenhene Nana Ofori Atta II and Kwame Nkrumah.
