A new group made up of black and ethnic minority communities in Leicestershire is being set up to comment on issues and services in the county.
Leicestershire Together, made up of various agencies, plans to launch a Citizen's jury.
Members will be drawn from people who respond to a consultation programme on what people want and expect from a range of services in the county.
Services include health, education, learning, employment and transport.
Councillor Lesley Pendleton, county council cabinet lead member for equal opportunities, said it would be a "very important initiative".
She said: "It offers the opportunity to consult with and involve people from black and minority ethnic communities in practical delivery and we very much look forward to seeing the results."
