The fatal stabbing of a black teenager in Kent is being treated as a racially motivated murder.
A 29-year-old man, who was found with stab wounds, is stable in hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Kent Police are continuing to question two men arrested on Friday and Sunday on suspicion of murder and attempted murder. 'Hate' crime Magistrates granted police extra time to question one of the men on Monday night. Det Ch Insp Jon Bumpus said he was looking for at least three other men in connection with the stabbings. "We know there were other people in the area - it's important that anyone who knows anything gets in touch as soon as possible," he said. "We treat all hate crime very seriously and we are determined to catch the people responsible." Mr Alaneme, who was known as Chris to his friends, lived in Sheerness. Police have agreed to not reveal the identity of the second stab victim.
