The suspect's younger brother, who is also accused of murder, will not be giving evidence either. Neither can be named for legal reasons. It is claimed 10-year-old Damilola bled to death after being stabbed with a broken bottle on the North Peckham Estate in Blakes Road on November 27, 2000. The 18-year-old, who was 13 at the time, was allegedly linked to the killing by a bloodstain on the cuff of his sweatshirt. He was arrested shortly afterwards but not charged. The South London brothers' barrister was due to open their case yesterday. Together with Hassan Jihad, now 20, of Consort Road, Peckham, they deny murder, manslaughter and assault with intent to rob. ANOTHER of the teenagers accused of murdering Damilola Taylor will not give evidence at the trial into the schoolboy's death. The 18-year-old's barrister, Nigel Sweeney, told the Old Bailey on Friday: "The position is I am not calling him to give evidence but I am calling other witnesses."
