Last night, mechanic Steve Walker, of Toxteth, said: "I am all for it as long as the street is on a main road and not in a corner of Liverpool somewhere. "It has to be where people can see it and recognise his name, they will remember that he was killed for no reason. "Every morning I drive past the cemetery. He was just a kid and I didn't have any real history of him."

THE father of murdered teenager Anthony Walker has backed calls for a street to be named in his honour. Anti-racism campaigners are calling for a road in the city to be given the 18-year-old's name after he was killed in a racist attack a year ago.
