Black Boys Can Gala 06 the Hottest Tickets In The Black Community

On Saturday 11th November 2006 at 7:00pm The National Black Boys Can Association, will hold its second annual gala dinner and National Awards presentation at The National Motorcycle Museum, Near the N.E.C Birmingham.

The last event held in 2004 was completely sold out and was an outstanding success.

Paul Reid, one of the countries leading musicians and music manager for Beverley Knight who has also toured with Liberty X and Mystique said This dinner and award ceremony is likely to be the most prestigious, exiting and important occasion for those who are concerned about the education of black boys in the UK 

Attending this event will be some of the most influential black individuals from across the UK including, politicians, academics, researchers, broadcasters, journalists, and church leaders. Representatives of business, sponsors and supporters from all sectors will also attend.

The keynote speech for this occasion will be by former trade union leader The Honourable Lord Morris of Handsworth O.J Patron of The National Black Boys Can Association.

Awards will be presented to exceptional boys, parents, school of the year, teacher of the year and volunteers from across the country, who have had a significant impact upon the achievements of black boys.

Entertainment and music will be provided by talented black boys from around the country many of whom have performed in theatre, on stage and on television. 

 Cheron Byfield, Chairperson for the National Black Boys Can Association said, Following the outstanding national parents conference we held in 2005 at Westminster we are going one better this year. In addition to a fantastic evening we will also be launching The Black Boys Can Community Challenge a partnership project between the National Black Boys Can Association and The Home Office, more specifically The Department for communities and Local Government.
