Murder of Christopher ElliotA man has been charged with assisting an offender following the murder of 39-year-old Christopher Elliott on Monday 20 November 2006. The 54-year-old man from Roundhay has been charged and is due to appear at Leeds Magistrates Court today, Friday 24 November.

 

 

The investigation into Mr Elliott's murder is still ongoing and detectives are continuing to appeal for information about the circumstances of his death.

We still need information from anyone who knows what happened. Anyone who has information that could lead us to the identity of those responsible for the murder of Christopher Elliott should contact us.

In particular anyone who witnessed any suspicious activity on Borrowdale Crescent in Bramley between 1.30pm and 7.30pm on Monday 20 November or on Ravenscar Walk in Roundhay between 9pm and 9.30pm the same night.

Mr Elliott was a well-liked member of the community and his family are devastated by his death.

Christopher Elliott, who was known as Chalky, was from the Bramley area of Leeds. His body was found on fire in a wooded area off Roundhay Road on Monday 20 November 2006.

Chalky was a full time carer for his father and had a 20-year-old son.

A second man who was arrested in connection with this incident on Monday has been released without charge.
