A woman was arrested on suspicion of racially-aggravated public order and was quizzed by police but has since been released.

Amanda Schofield was reported to the police after a member of public reported a Golly Doll in the window of her home, the reported incident is said to have been raised by a disgruntled neigbour she had a disagreement with, which began several months ago, but has denied it was racially-aggravated and never meant to cause anyone offence.
After a few DNA and fingerprint sample  Amanda Schofiel, was later released without charge.

The Golly doll which Amanda Schofield owned for 15 years was found and placed on the window by her daughter after clearing out the attic, the doll which previously was used on Robertson Jam jars and in Enid Blyton books, causes heated debate on whether the Golly Doll otherwise known as Golliwog causes offence to people of colour
