Police in Birmingham are becoming increasingly concerned for the safety and welfare of a vulnerable 12-year-old boy who has been missing for three days. Devensen Murrain was last seen when he left his school - Lindsworth School in Kings Heath - at lunchtime on Tuesday 31 October 2006, having attended for morning classes.
The youngster, who has learning difficulties, is thought to have gone into the One-Stop Shop in Broad Lane. He has not been seen or heard from since. Exhaustive police enquiries and local searches to trace him have so far proved unsuccessful. Devensen, who is in care and lives with foster parents, is described as black, 5ft 5ins tall, with black hair worn in cane rows. Police are appealing to Devensen, or anyone who knows of his whereabouts, to contact his foster parents or officers at Kings Heath police station on 0845 113 5000 so that his welfare can be vouched for. A police spokesman said concern was growing because of Devensen's young age the fact that there had been no sightings of him and because the weather had turned markedly colder in recent days. |
