POLICE have warned residents in Yardley to be on their guard after a mugger has been targeting the area. The thief, described as a black man who wears a black duffel coat with wooden toggles, has struck four times within the last two weeks, said PC Laura Tibbatts.

"There has been a spate of robberies in Yardley in the last few weeks and we believe they have been committed by the same person," said PC Tibbatts.
