Ninetynine represents real people striving to make something of their lives and is a positive medium of inspiration for black people in the UK.
Many go through life wishing that they may one day fulfil their potential. Encouragement, positive words and that push in the right direction all have the power to transform and change people’s lives. We can all benefit from this extra 1% to become 100% of who we really are.

Ninetynine magazine aims to unify black people in the UK through inspiration and positivity. We do this by unearthing black role models in every area of human endeavour and these role models then act as beacons of hope as their achievements serve to guide and motivate. We endeavour to recognise the efforts of ‘unknown’ achievers whose behind-the- scenes talents are yet to be recognised in the mainstream.

We are also a general lifestyle magazine with strong positive features on relationships, parenting, music, fashion & beauty, books, food and health & fitness.

Our design is top drawer in print and photographic images. Our style and tone are fresh, vibrant and exciting.

We encourage you to support us as we take control of our lives and destiny in the most fascinating kind of way.

Why Bother?

There is too much negativity out there and false stereotypes being peddled by the media on issues concerning black people in the UK. However, times are changing and a lot of us are beginning to see through these assumptions. We are now constantly seeking resources to help us believe and go for our dreams despite various obstacles. We have been starved of quality motivational and positive publications which relate to us directly over the years. We have relied on others to tell our stories in the ways they deem fit. We have focused on ‘other issues’ while our image takes a battering in the media, unchallenged.
But it’s a new day!

Ninetynine Magazine is not some kind of dull journal but an entertaining, yet motivational magazine which rates as highly as most mainstream publications in terms of quality in contents and design. We are departing from stereotypes which over the years have portrayed black publications as dour and sad.
