Earthquake fundrasing for Haiti- Levi roots performing

To raise much needed support for Children of Haiti Earthquake Disaster, the United Haitians in the UK in association with other Afro Caribbean Organisations in Reading and the support of the Mayor of Reading are hosting an “Entertainment Aid” for Children of Haiti Earthquake Disaster fund raising event.

HOSTED EVENT & TIMINGS
“Entertainment Aid” for Children of Haiti Earthquake Disaster fund raising event will be held at the Reading Madejski Stadium on Saturday 3rd April 2010 from 16:00hrs to 01:00hrs

“Entertainment Aid” for Children of Haiti Earthquake Disaster fund raising event will be a 9hr multi-arts event that will seek to raise a minimum of £10,000 for contribution to the medium to long term rebuilding of infrastructures and resources (schools, libraries, care-centres, etc…) for Haiti’s children and families.

“Entertainment Aid” will consist of a 16:00hrs to 19:00hrs session to focus at children and families and a 19:30hrs to 01:00hrs session for everyone. Each session will consist of a range of performing artists (music, dance, poetry, etc...) who will be contributing their time and services.

The 19:30hrs to 01:00hrs session will include an auction where sponsored and donated products & services will be auctioned.

“Entertainment Aid” is open to the general public and entrance is by advance ticket purchase only.

This fundraising event will include live entertainment by a range of multi-arts performers and special guest appearances by Levi Roots (A MOBO Awards Best Reggae Performer), Rachel Hylton (XFactor fame) and many more.

Admission to “Entertainment Aid” Tickets are as priced:
For 4.00pm – 7.00pm
£10 for under 16yrs
£15 for 16yrs and over
£20 For 7.30pm – 01.00am
Concessions for families 4.00pm – 7.00pm £40 (2 Adults 2 under 16s)
Concessions for 4.00pm – 01.00am £30.00
