SRC/Universal Motown R&B Recording Artist Shiré (Sha-Ray), who just recently finished a tour to Iraq in support of the US troops has been recognized by Hip-Hop Weekly and Burger King as the Next To Blow pick of the week for October 6. Shiré's debut single, I Used to LovHer, is scaling up the charts on iTunes as she prepares to release her album, Pickin' Up the Pieces, which will be available this spring.
Shiré is currently on BET's College Tour with upcoming dates in on October 10 in Daytona Beach, Florida at Bethune Cookman College; October 11 for Beats on the Beach in Miami, Florida; October 20 at R&B Live in Chicago, Illonois; November 12 at A&M University's Prairie View; and November 13 for Tampa's Music Awards in Tampa Florida. Viewers can catch snippets of Shiré's performances from the BET College Tour on BET's 106 & Park.

The Black Police Association is pushing the music industry to start taking positive steps toward reducing violence on our street. The BPA is holding a Celebration of Life Concert aiming to bring the community together through music and eradicate violent and drug related crimes.
