Welcome to what I can only describe as a wonderful site with equally, if not more, wonderful people! Glad you joined us at this exciting time. There’s a lot going on like online chat with friends, jobs, events and even Black History courses that I think has got to be a must for anyone wanting to know about Africa’s glorious past with its great empires and kingdoms. For instance in the 1230s the keita were ruled by a great warrior king, Sun Diata. He founded a new West African kingdom in Mali. Mali became much larger than the Ghanaian Empire and all earlier kingdoms, expanding north, south and west and taking control of the caravan trade centres of the southern Sahara such as Timbuktu and Gao. Sun Diata then reverted to Islam. During the 14th century Mali exported gold from the Niger and Senegal river valleys into Muslim North Africa. By 1337 the Mali Empire was one of the great African empires. A tolerant legal system made Mali a rich and peaceful land. Wow what a rich history that Africa once had! However, that was until … well you know what happened next in Africa …Anyway, on your travels please do check out my profile details where you’ll be surprised at how much is on this single page! Even my avatar and ‘status’ say something for the African people. Also, you’ll see the friends there; they really are a great bunch so please get in touch with them; they’ll be glad to be your friend and they’re waiting to hear from you! There’s also an uplifting message for the African people and indeed for all of mankind that quite frankly is an answer to many of the world’s problems if only people took the time and effort to read it properly. One Africa! One Nation! One Billion Strong! One God Almighty! That says it all! Need I say more?
